It was a commercial by an attorney showing vehicle accidents and offering to represent anyone who has been injured. I’m in the traffic safety business. Are there any copyrights on these commercials?

look into ‘fair use’
however, fair use is for material to be used on tv, radio, and duplicated media…
Generally, it is fine so long as you are not selling the commercial, or duplicating it.
It is fine for you to retain a single ‘artistic’ copy I would say given there is some editing done.
