Power of Attorney for overseas property sale?
Question by : Power of Attorney for overseas property sale?
Hello, my father owns half a commercial property in Texas, and he is overseas now, and I am in Texas. His partner got the money for it and wants to buy it from my father. My father wants to send me the power of attorney so that he doesn’t have to come all the way to Texas to make the sale.
Can you please provide me with a complete solution, because I know nothing about this subject, and if there is another way can you please help me out and explain it?
Thank you.

You’ll need to talk to a lawyer – he can draft the papers for you. In fact, if it’s a business deal, it may be best to have the lawyer (preferably one experienced in commercial acquisitions and real estate) look over the documents and attend the closing. It may be worth spending the 0 – ,000 to protect yourself.
