Question by Shanna: Does anyone know if a child has to be represented by an attorney in an adoption case in New York state?
I am currently going through an adoption case with my daughters guardians in the state of New York. I want to know what rights my daughter and me have. I want to have visitation rights, but her guardians are denying it. They have refused me to have any contact with her for over 4 years now. I just want to have my daughter back in my life. Can somebody please give me advice on which way I can handle this situation?

You need a lawyer, not advice from YahooAnswers.
